Sharon, SC – Lillian Imogene Dallas Neal, 88, passed away peacefully at her home on June 11, 2025. She was born on February 14, 1937, in Chester, SC, to the late Jesse A. Dallas and Effie Lowery Dallas.
A service celebrating Lillian’s life will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Neal; Willie Ervin Roof, father of her four children; and her sons, Billy Leon Roof and Kenneth Ervin Roof.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Roof Rhodes (Chris) of Anderson, SC and Pam Roof Fairfax (Keith) of Sharon, SC; sisters, Ada Gaston and Josie May Doster; brothers, Eugene Dallas, Herman Dallas, and Haram Dallas. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Misty Dawn Roof, Danna Lee Roof, Brian Morton, Steven Morton, Dawn Glenn, Lucas Roof, Logan Roof, Walker Bonds, Lisa Fairfax, Erica Brantlee Fairfax, Jesse Fairfax, and Kristin Langlious; great-grandchildren: Kendall Evans, Madison Glenn, Kaydin Smith, Klarity Smith, Ashton Lambert, Laighson Roof, Lainey Roof, and Larsyn Roof; and great-great-grandchildren: Ava Grace Evans and Tatum Evans; niece, Linda Estridge (Jack).
Lillian was a member of Grace Church of Nazarene; she loved her church family. She worked for 28 years at Springs Industries in Chester and later retired from Rexam in Pineville, NC after 18 ½ years of service. She was educated in the Chester City Schools.
Lillian found joy in cooking, working in her yard, and shopping at Belk. Above all, she dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
