Rock Hill, SC – Lily Li Hsu, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.   She is survived by her loving children, Rhea (Matthew David Jenkins) and Kevin (Joyce Barreda), and by her beloved grandchildren, Connor, Aidan and Kelsey Jenkins and Isabel, Sofia and Mateo Hsu.   She is also survived by her brother, Richard Li (Linda Li), of Anaheim, California.   She is preceded in death by her husband, Tah-Hsiung Hsu, and her brother, Raymond Li.

A native of Hong Kong, Lily was the daughter of Fan Kwan Li and Siu Quan Li.   At the young age of 19, she moved to the United States and, after 3 years, graduated from the University of Alabama, majoring in Biology.   She met her future husband, Tah-Hsiung, in Alabama and eventually moved to Baltimore, Maryland.

In Baltimore, Lily served as a homemaker and raised her two children, Rhea and Kevin.   She also worked part-time as a medical technologist.   Lily and Tah-Hsiung lived in Baltimore for over 40 years and were prominent members of the Chinese-American community.   Eventually, they moved to Rock Hill, South Carolina to be closer to her two children and six grandchildren.

Till her last days, Lily loved to explore and travel the world.  Her journeys took her to multiple continents, countries and cruises.   She always took photographs of her adventures and put the photos in countless photo albums.   In her spare time, she loved going to the theater to watch movies and musicals and loved listening to her classical music.   Most of all, Lily valued her family and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
