Linda Bowers Ellis, 78, died on December 20, 2024 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. She was born on May 24, 1946 to the late Frank Poovey Bowers and Lucille Sherer Bowers in Rock Hill, SC.
Linda married her high school sweetheart, C. Douglas Ellis, and enjoyed a loving and playful marriage for 60 years. Her primary occupation was as a devoted homemaker. In their free time, she and Doug worked on various creative projects, including many hours building furniture together. She loved gardening, home decorating, true crime stories, vacationing at Maggie Valley, and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Frank P. Bowers, Jr., Margaret L. Bowers, and Fred D. Bowers.
Linda is survived by her husband, Doug Ellis; her daughter, Lisa Ellis (Don Christy, Jr.); and her beloved Chihuahua, Piper.
A graveside service will be held at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill on January 7th, 2025 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice & Community Care (hospicecommunitycare.org) or an animal rescue of your choice.
