Rock Hill, SC – Linda Farmer Forrester, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Piedmont Medical Center.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 South Cherry Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Father Bill Scott officiating.
Born in Rock Hill, Linda was the daughter of the late Dewitt Farmer and the late Zoia Holcombe Farmer. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Herring, Sr.; her son, Jeramy Scott Herring (Teague Davis); her stepson Gerald Herring, Jr.; and 9 siblings, Bill Farmer, Calvin Farmer, Tommy Farmer, J.O. Farmer, George Farmer, Berta Mae Arrowood , Marie Garris, Ethel Buchanan, and Lois Childers.
Linda was known for her strong faith and her commitment to family. Her family was the love of her life; she loved them fully and unconditionally, always keeping family gatherings a priority. Her dogs were also part of her family and loved well. Linda also enjoyed the holidays, in particular, Halloween and Christmas. You would often find her dressed up on Halloween and striving to prioritize those she loved as she shopped for the most special gifts around the holidays.
Linda is survived by her husband, Dariel Forrester; her son, Jason Herring (Taylor); her stepson, Tony Herring (Julie); her stepson Jason Forrester (Gail); her stepdaughter, Angelia Herring Childers (Mike); her stepdaughter, Cynthia Herring White (TJ); her 10 grandchildren, Brent Childers, Andy Childers, Abby White Childers, Amy Childers Gatti, Jake Herring, Stevie Herring, Jackson Herring, Emme Herring, Mattie Zo Herring, and Nora Herring; 7 great-children; her sister, Bett Farmer; and her brother-in-law, Alan D. Herring.
