Linda White, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
Linda was born on October 26, 1942, in Rock Hill, SC, to the late Carlos Lee Williams and the late Maudell Williams Gulledge.
Linda dedicated 34 years of service to Celanese, where she was a faithful and hardworking employee. She attended Rock Hill public schools and continued her education at the College of Commerce. She was a member of First ARP Church.
Linda cherished time spent with her family. She especially enjoyed a good car ride and a warm cup of coffee.
She is survived by her loving children, her son, Edward White and daughter Candy White (Eddie); her cherished grandchildren, Chris White, Shandale White (Kevin), Johnathan White, and Deven White; and four great-grandchildren, Jamani, Jonathan Jr., Ja’Kobi White and Chance Qualls. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Gail Helms (David), as well as her niece, Rene Helms (Mike) and two nephews, Chad Helms and Chris Helms (Angie).
Linda’s sweetness, kindness, love, and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of her beloved family.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to Linda on Sunday, January 19, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, or on Monday, January 20, from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Anyone who wishes to visit Linda may come for a brief visit during the designated times, taking place at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC 2972.
A visitation with the family present will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM honoring Linda’s life, at Newbirth Baptist Church, located at 600 Annafred St., Rock Hill, SC 29732. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road.
