Loren Cardoza, Jr. passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, after a short illness. He was the son of the late Loren Cardoza, Sr. and Laura Freitas.

Loren was the beloved husband of Virginia Lee Cardoza for over 60 years and a devoted father to LoriAnn Boyer, David Loren Cardoza, Jason Loren Cardoza, and Craig Loren Cardoza. He was a proud grandfather to Justin Jason Cardoza, Stephen Spencer Boyer, Loren Craig Cardoza, and Kayla Fernandez, and great-grandfather to three.

Loren began his professional life as a baker, applying his studies in industrial baking and technology not only at work but also in his home kitchen, much to the delight of his family.

He later spent the majority of his career at Sterling Wale Fabrics, later to become Priority Finishing, as part of the management operations team, where he was known for his work ethic, integrity, and steady leadership.

A man of faith, Loren served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and youth leader. Roles through which his quiet strength and generous spirit touched many lives. A true New Englander at heart, he grew up in Fall River, MA, and spent most of his life in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Loren was also an avid bowler and a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox, following both teams with the same steadfast devotion he gave to those he loved. Among the things he cherished most was time with his beloved dog, Bogey, whose companionship brought him immense joy.

Loren will be remembered for his warm presence, gentle humor, and rare ability to make anyone he spoke with feel like the most important person in the room. He lived a life grounded in humility, faith, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the SPCA.
