Malinda Kae (Linde) Matthews Dority of Charlotte, NC died peacefully on the afternoon of January 19, 2025. The family will hold a private memorial and interment service in her honor at a future date. Linde was born on August 24, 1957 in Charleston, SC, daughter of James C. Matthews, Sr. and Carolyn Caveny Matthews. She attended Charleston and Rock Hill area schools and graduated from Northwestern High School, Rock Hill, SC. She is survived by her son, Matt Dority of Rock Hill and her daughter, Laura Phillips (Joe) of Rock Hill, SC, three grandchildren, Noah, Isla and Maggie Pace. She is also survived by her mother, Carolyn Matthews of Rock Hill, SC, four siblings, Jamie Matthews (Linda) of Gilbert, SC, Bobby Matthews (Allison) of Rock Hill, SC, Sally Greene (Jeff) of Hilton Head, SC, Susie Monroe (Jeff) of Rock Hill, SC, 6 nieces and nephews. Linde will be greatly missed by her family as well as all who knew and loved her.
