Edgemoor, SC – Margaret L. Long, 81, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Lancaster Health & Rehabilitation.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Lando Cemetery with Rev. John Parris officiating.
Born in Great Falls, SC, Mrs. Long was the daughter of the late John Lathan and the late Eva Lucas Lathan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Arnold Long, Sr.; her brother, Toby Lathan, and her sisters, Orma Jean Curtis and Ida Mae Bennett. She retired after many years serving in the textile industry. She enjoyed fishing and yardwork and she loved spending time with her family and friends. Her number one priority was taking care of husband and children.
Surviving are her daughter, Tyna Long of Edgemoor, SC; her son, Joseph (Shelia) Long, Jr. of Catawba, SC; two grandchildren, Christy Long and Casey Long; a niece, Tyanne (Ricky) Odom; and two nephews, Kent (Sylvia) Curtis, and Billy (Donna) Curtis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Long’s name to the Lando Cemetery Fund.
