Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Margaret Starnes Jackson, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 South Cherry Road, Rock Hill, SC with Dr. Tom Patterson, and Reverend Scott Blasingame officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Jackson was the daughter of the late Henry Clayton Houston Starnes, Sr and the late Alma Boyd Starnes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Odell Jackson; brother, Henry Clayton Starnes, Jr.; sisters, Sara Shingler, and Mary Emma Hambright. She was retired from M Lowenstein Company with 30 plus years of service. She was a charter member of Woodhaven Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her three sons, Michael Dale Jackson of Fultondale, AL, Ronald David Jackson and Donald James Jackson both of Rock Hill; her daughter, Jane Jackson Brock of Rock Hill; two grandsons, Will Cox, and Hayden Jackson; three granddaughters, Leighann (Jason) Forsythe, Christy Brock and Logan Jackson; five great-grandsons, Dillon Brock, Brandon Brock, Kevin Brock, Ryan Forsythe, Eli Forsythe; two great-granddaughters, Katelyn Forsythe and Breanna Brock; eight great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Mary) Starnes of Greenville, SC; three sisters-in-law, Jeanette Starnes, Libby Park, Sue Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Margaret Jackson’s name to Woodhaven Baptist Church, 2060 Marett Boulevard, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
