Edgemoor, SC – Mrs. Margie Cook Smith, 86, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the home of her son surrounded by loving family members.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Grandview Memorial Park, 620 South Cherry Road, Rock Hill with Pastor Bernie Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.
Born in St George, Florida, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Zero Cook and the late Frances Smith Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Smith, four brothers, John, James, Cliff, Monroe; four sisters, Mary, Kathleen, Nancy, Josephine. She was retired from Celanese Corporation. She was a member of First Assembly of God.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her four sons, Lewis Wayne Smith of Edgemoor, SC, Kenneth Bradley (Gloria) Smith of Edgemoor, SC, Darryl (Sandy) Smith of Rock Hill, Christopher Scott (Darlene) Smith of Chester, SC; numerous grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.
