Marianne Neuburger, “Oma”, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born on July 7, 1934, in Germany.
In 1954, Marianne came to the United States and lived in New York, where she married her beloved husband, Karl. They shared 53 wonderful years together, raising a family built on love and devotion.
Almost ten years ago, Marianne moved to South Carolina to be closer to her family. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and working on puzzles with her friends, filling her days with laughter and companionship.
Marianne’s greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her daughters, grandchildren, and especially her great-grandsons. Known as “Oma” to those who loved her most, she was always there as a constant source of love, care, and support. She had a fondness for a good cup of coffee and a sweet treat, but nothing compared to the happiness she found in her family’s company.
She is survived by her daughters, Heidi Mahony and Carol Reitinger (Thomas); grandchildren, Steven Mahony (Erin), Robert Mahony (Kelli), Grace Reitinger, and Faith Reitinger; and great-grandsons, Chase and Owen Mahony. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Neuburger, and her son-in-law, Brian Mahony.

A service will be held in New York, where Marianne will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Karl.
