Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Marion J. Meili, 94, passed away Friday, September 21, 2023 at her home.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Born in Chicago, IL, Mrs. Meili was the daughter of the late Ernest Meili and Anna Gruber Meili. She spent her life enriching the lives of others as a teacher. She taught English Literature in Massachusetts, at the Dore Academy in Charlotte and at Clinton Junior College in Rock Hill. She was an amazing artist who enjoyed painting and writing beautiful poetry. Mrs. Meili found great joy in listening to her grandsons, play the violin and piano in their recitals over the years. Throughout her life, her most favorite pastime was traveling the world.
Mrs. Meili is survived by her devoted daughter, Cindy Grimm (Carl) of Rock Hill; grandson, David Grimm (Jill); great-granddaughters, Taylor Grimes and Sofia Grimm; great-grandson, Jaidon Dover; great-great-grandson, Cory Scoggins and two nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Blough, her son, David Anthony Blough, her sister, Jeannette Foley and her grandson, Cory Grimm.
