Rock Hill – Martha T. Broadwell, 87, formerly of Tabor City, NC, stepped from her earthly dwelling into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 28, 2023.
She was the daughter of the late Bainey T. Turbeville and Eppie Grainger Turbeville. She is survived by her husband, Harry L. Broadwell, Sr. of Rock Hill; two daughters, Sheila B. Cabaniss of Rock Hill (the late David Cabaniss) and Harriett B. Winters (Russ) of Rock Hill; her son, Harry L. Broadwell, II (Mindy); five grandchildren, David Winters (Amanda), Griffin W. Poulter (Josh), Christian H. Broadwell, Noah H. Broadwell, and Rose Margaret Broadwell; three great-grandchildren, Dominic Poulter, Malachi Winters, and Fletcher Winters; and many nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by twelve siblings.
Martha graduated from Green Sea High School in 1953. Martha was employed at Celanese Corporation as a secretary. Martha was a church member of Park Ridge Baptist Church of Rock Hill. Martha enjoyed homemaking, cooking, and baking for her family, and knitting.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm on Monday March 6, 2023. Martha’s son, Rev. Harry L. Broadwell, II, will officiate her graveside service at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road at 3:00 pm on Monday, March 6, 2023.
