Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Mary Catherine “Cat” Reid, 91, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at her home.
Mrs. Reid was born in Lancaster, SC, and the daughter of the late William Baxter Ellis and the late Aileen Morton Furr. In addition to her parents Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by her husband, Grier Wilson Reid and her son, Steven Dennis Reid. She was retired from keeping children in her home for many years. She enjoyed shopping and yard sales.
Services for Mrs. Reid will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC with Reverend Brad Threatt officiating. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Reid is survived by her sons, John Reid of York, SC and Jimmy (Dena) Reid of Rock Hill; her three grandchildren, Katherine Reid, Lori Reid-Graham, Chris Reid; her seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, along with her best friend, Yappie.
