Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Maryann Tomkins peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday, October 8, 2023 after an unexpected brief, but intense illness that took her from us too soon.

Maryann was born in Canton, Ohio, on January 28, 1964, to the late Howard Truax and Shirley Truax (Polosky). Maryann enjoyed hiking, interior decorating, cooking, gardening, traveling, and hosting family and friends for meals and holidays. She believed strongly in family and the power of community, and as a result, welcomed everyone she met into her extended family. She was resolute in her love for others, and was one of the most compassionate, empathetic, and supportive individuals that anyone ever knew. Maryann found her identity as a daughter of the living God, and bestowed that same welcome into the family of God to others through her words and actions.
