Matthew “Kevin” Mabry, 64, passed away on June 3, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC, surrounded by his family.

Born on October 22, 1961, in Wilmington, DE, Kevin graduated from Delcastle Technical High School and then went on to serve in the United States Army. After his military service, he graduated from the Restaurant School of Philadelphia to pursue his passion for the culinary arts. He worked at many restaurants all around the world, but his favorite place to work was at Beansprout Academy of Fort Mill. For the last 12 years, ‘Chef Kev’ loved showing the kids healthy eating habits and gardening skills.

Kevin had a deep love of music and enjoyed going to many concerts. He would never say no to singing Karaoke with his friends and family. He had a passion for classic cars. His most recent prized possession was a yellow-and-purple 2011 Chevy Corvette with “Bring the Thunder” emblazoned on the hood. Kevin was known for his warm smile, generous spirit, and willingness to help others.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Rodenhiser, his sister, Karen Rich (Frank), niece, nephew, and many loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Connie Mack Mabry.
