Rock Hill, SC – Mrs. Merle Corley Craft, 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Westminster Towers.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1300 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC with Reverend Jonathan Taylor officiating, assisted by Dr. Ted O. Padgett, Sr. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following the service in the Anne Sanford Parlor.
Born in Batesburg, SC, Mrs. Craft was the daughter of the late Ebbie Douglas Corley and the late Vera Dominick Corley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Howard Craft, and her son, Gregory Allen Craft. She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and served at Westminster Towers and throughout the Rock Hill Community.
Mrs. Craft is survived by her daughter, Angell Craft Gibson (Billy) of Chapin, SC; her brother, Rhett Dominick Corley (Judy) of Lexington, SC; her sister, Anne Corley Padgett (Ted) of Seymour, TN; her brother-in-law, Lawrence Craft (Lisa) of Lexington, SC; granddaughter, Virginia Gray (Wesley) Wilkerson of Little Mountain, SC; great-grandson, Kenneth Currin “KC” Wilkerson. She was a special “Grandma” to Miss Bonnie Campbell of Greenville, SC. A loving aunt to multiple nephews and nieces, and many cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Merle Craft’s name to Westminster Towers Endowment Fund, 1330 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
