Rock Hill, SC – Michael Arthur Ewing, 63, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Atrium Health in Pineville.
Mr. Ewing was born on March 1, 1960, to the late Jake Ewing and Maxine Hughes Ewing in Cleveland, Tennessee. During his life, Michael was dedicated to his work. He worked for Windstream for 37 years and most recently served the company as an engineering manager. In his personal life, Mr. Ewing’s most important priorities were faith, family, and fishing.
He is survived by his beloved life partner of 32 years, Donna McFadden Trader; his step-son, Dru Trader (Rhonda); his brother, Jim Ewing (Wanda), his sisters, Rita Hardin (David) and Connie Horton (Jeff); his grandchildren, Chase Martin (Ben) and Drake Trader (Emma); his sisters-in-law, Ronda Deese (Steve), Pam Amerson, Cathy Baker (Jim), and Lisa Robinson (Eddie), his brother-in-law, Robby McFadden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Maxine Ewing.
A funeral service will be held for Mr. Ewing at 2:00PM on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina, 29732.
The family will welcome visitors prior to the service, beginning at 1:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hills Cemetery, 4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a hospice of one’s choice.
