Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Joseph Mercer East, II, of Rock Hill, SC died on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Mike was born on August 16, 1958 in Franklin, Virginia to Joseph and Shirley East. Mike graduated from the University of Virginia in 1981 with a degree in finance. He was a member of Delta Phi Fraternity “St. Elmo Hall.”
Mike was an avid sports fan, especially UVA sports, “Wahoo Wa”! He enjoyed spending time by the beach or pool and loved all types of music.
Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pam Canady East; his sister, Sarah Baldwin (Dennis) of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Dr. Maggie Tindall DMD (John) of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren, Wyatt, Addie Kate and Emma Tindall of Fort Mill, SC.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 18 from 5-7 pm in the Tower Room at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Mike’s ashes will be interred in Virginia at the family farm.
