Mildred “Millie” Dulin Garrison, 97, of Rock Hill died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, February 26, 2025.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at Catawba Baptist Church on Monday, March 3, 2025.  An informal visitation will immediately follow the service. Burial will be private.

Born in York County, SC, Mrs. Garrison was a devoted wife to Harold Edison Garrison for 45 years before his death in 1993.   She lived a full, long life which was lovingly dedicated to her family. She had an immense love for the Lord and served faithfully for many years as a children’s Sunday School teacher in her church, Catawba Baptist.  She trained in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II.  Millie was an inspiration to all who knew her, full of optimism, peace, love, and joy.  She had a quick wit, which kept her friends and family laughing.

Her greatest joy in life was her family.  As a young mother, she stayed home to raise her four children. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren as they were growing up as well, often doing crafts with them and going on nature walks around the family property.  Her great-grandchildren, though, were her greatest blessing.  It always made her day to see any of them.

She was preceded in death by her children, Samuel “Sam” Garrison and Laura “Peggy” Sarratt.  She is survived by her sister, Patricia “Patsy” Garrison of Chester, SC; sons, David Garrison (Novella) of Union, SC and Richard “Rick” Garrison of Rock Hill, SC; daughter-in-law Patricia “Patti” Garrison of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren Mary Beth Garrison, Jessica Ton, Nicole Kingsbury, Jonathan Garrison, Laura Brackett, and Katherine “Katie” Guinn, and great-grandchildren Cole Airington, Kerriline Brackett, Joselyn “Josie” Ton, Cadence Kingsbury, Nevaeh Kingsbury, and Mihkayle Mason.
