Rock Hill, SC – Misty Konow was born on October 30th, 1970, in Ozark, Arkansas, and passed away in peace on the 8th day of July, 2025, in Rock Hill South Carolina.
Dr. Misty loved her husband Frank Konow, her son Jude Konow, and her mother-in-law Maggie Konow with all of her heart. Family meant everything to her, and she would put her loved ones first before anything else. She wore many hats for work all her life, but was most recognized for being a doctor of chiropractic, working side by side with her husband. She also became a teacher, teaching 7th grade at a home school organization called Classical Conversations. The organization quickly became family to Misty, and actually enrolled her son Jude in it from 1st grade, all the way to him graduating at 17.
She had a servant’s heart, volunteering at the Rock Hill Civitan Club, and also the Junior Women’s Club. Misty was also a strong scout mom for her son, and helped him achieve his Eagle Scout Rank. She put others first before herself, and was a friend and helper to those in need. You could find her helping to feed the homeless with her civic club, putting out American flags on memorial holidays, and serving those who had developmental disabilities.
For the past 2 and a half years, Misty had an ongoing battle with stage 4 colon cancer. After having surgery to get rid of the cancer, it unfortunately continued to spread to her liver and left lung. She took well over 50 chemotherapy treatments, and took countless of pills, just to stay alive and be there for her friends and family for over 2 years. In the end, she passed away on her hospital bed holding the hands of her loving husband, and son, as well as surrounded by many other family friends who came to support her
Dr Misty kept her faith in the Lord through thick and thin, and never once gave up thinking that she was going to be healed. She was a prime example of what a Christian should be, and walked in faith with Christ to the very end. She made an impact on hundreds of families, and will never be forgotten for her faith, love, and works. The world will not be the same without seeing the sweet smile and charm of Dr. Misty Konow.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rock Hill. Following the service, the family will host a repast at Rizzo Brother, located on Cherry Road.
