Patricia Howard (Binns), 71, of York, South Carolina, passed away on September 18, 2026, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, surrounded by the love of her family.
Patricia was born on January 24, 1955, in Killeen, Texas. She attended Chester High School and went on to dedicate 25 years of her life to her career as a Lead Technician with Cytec Carbon Fiber. She was known for her strong work ethic, determination, and the resilience she carried with her throughout her life.
On August 13, 1991, Patricia married the love of her life, Michael Howard. Together, they shared 24 wonderful years of marriage and built a life filled with family, laughter, adventure, and countless memories. Michael remained the great love of her life, and their bond was one she cherished deeply.
Above all else, Patricia loved her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, but her love reached far beyond those titles. Over the years, many people came to know and love her as a mother figure, and she welcomed them with the same honesty, guidance, strength, and care she gave to her own family.
Patricia had a deep love for animals and enjoyed traveling, reading, painting, and visiting lighthouses. She had a giving heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand when someone needed her. She will be remembered for her resilience, her honesty, her sense of adventure, and the way she cared so deeply for the people and animals she loved.
She is survived by her children, Danyale Robinson (Chris), Jeffrey McAteer, and Rebecca O’Connell (Jason); her grandchildren, Gaige Robinson, Raine Robinson, Charm Carpenter (Reece), Kanélei O’Connell, Ayden McAteer, and Waylen McAteer; her great-grandson, Shuler Turner; and many others who were fortunate enough to consider Patricia a friend and an important part of their lives.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and the love of her life, Michael Howard.
Patricia leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, lessons, and love that will continue to live on through the family and friends who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In accordance with Patricia’s wishes, no public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Patricia’s memory.
