Patricia “Patty” Oates, 79, passed away on May 16, 2026, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Thomas L. Rish and Alice Eugenia Rish.
She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Oates; her daughter, Angela Bradley; stepchildren, Nicholas Oates and Beth Rodgers; her brother, Arthur “Buddy” Rish and his wife, Patti; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Rish and Debra Rish Patterson.
Patty was a beloved wife and mother.
A memorial service will be held on June 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel.
