Fort Lawn, SC – Paula “Jayne” Toldon, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Jayne was born on August 9, 1950, to the late Lloyd and Mercedes Jeffries.  She was raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and graduated from Kenwood High School.  Jayne lived a life full of adventure and loved to travel.  Jayne fell in love with horses as a young girl and was a skilled and experienced horsewoman.  She was the founder and owner of the horse farm, Chip’s Meadows in Richburg, SC for many years.  She passed her love and passion for horses on to her two granddaughters, Kylee and Hannah.  She loved watching them succeed in life, often spending her weekends at a local barrel race, volleyball tournament, or academic award ceremony.  She was always present to support “her girls.”  She adored her son, and was always letting everyone know how proud she was of him, often referring to him as her biggest blessing.     She was a friend to many, and always willing to help others as needed.   She truly treasured time with her family and close friends.

Jayne is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Gerheart Jeffries and Mercedes Polly Porter Jeffries; and her brothers, Drew Jeffries and Pete Shepherd.

She survived by her son, Jeffrey Charles Walters (Tiffany); her sister, Cathy Ward; and her brother, Lloyd Jeffries; her grandchildren, Kylee and Hannah; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and her beloved dog Bo.
