Petra Hobbing Williams, age 62 of Rock Hill, SC passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
She was born October 16, 1964 in Germany. She found joy in helping others through her work as a Certified Medical Assistant. But one of her greatest joys came when her grandson, Sebastian, entered her life. The two were truly two peas in a pod, sharing a special bond that brought so much love and happiness to her world.
She loved the outdoors, taking nature walks, spending time with animals, and traveling. She also enjoyed cooking, especially preparing her beloved German cuisines. In her quieter moments, she could often be found enjoying crime-solving mysteries, British television shows, Harry Potter, or anything Betty Boop. These simple pleasures reflected the many things that made her unique and brought joy to her life.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John S. Williams.
She is survived by her daughters, Tonya Williams and Patricia Williams (Sebastian ~ Grandson) both of Rock Hill, SC; Sisters Ulrike Zimmer of Germany, Dani Kopp of Australia.
The family is planning a private service for a future date.
