Rock Hill, SC – Phyllis Smarr, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, sister, proud aunt, and beloved “MawMaw,” peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear.
Phyllis was born in Rock Hill, SC, she faithfully worked for Pharr Yarns for over 20 years, where she was known for her hard work and commitment. Outside of her career, she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, nurturing her love of reading, and tending to her garden.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now in heaven, reunited and rejoicing with her mother and her husband.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Micheal Smarr; her grandsons, Austin and Adam Smarr; her sister, Amy Renwald (Jeff Renwald); her brother, Phillip Smarr; her nieces, Amanda Renwald and Amber Smarr; and her nephews, Josh Renwald and Justin Renwald.
Family will receive and welcome friends on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 3:00pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer R. Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Celebration of Life following at 4:00pm.
