Ralph V. Morford
Ralph V. Morford, age 71, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Patrick House, with his wife by his side.
Ralph was born on August 12, 1954, in Iola, Kansas, to Ralph V. and Clara R. (Hamilton) Morford. He was raised in Shawnee, Kansas, and graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 1972.
On October 19, 1974, he married the love of his life, Mary E. (Morris) Morford, and they shared 51 years of marriage.
Ralph was a faithful member of Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple in Shawnee, Kansas, for over 40 years and later became a member of Southside Baptist Church after moving to Rock Hill in 2022.
He retired after 37 years of service with the Shawnee Mission Public School District and later worked at Shawnee Hills Retirement Center.
Ralph enjoyed woodworking and collecting clocks and lighthouses. He will be remembered for his strong faith, dedication to family, and steady work ethic.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David L. Morford.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Christine (Christopher) Knoblauch; son, Daniel D. Morford; siblings Nina Morford, Ruth (Michael) Weston, and Edward (Karin) Morford; grandchildren Galen Knoblauch, Logan (Veronica) Knoblauch, AnnaBeth Knoblauch, and Jason Knoblauch; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Southside Baptist Church 1229 Anderson Rd S, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29730
A memorial service will be held April 11, 2026 10 am at Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple in Shawnee, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Southside Baptist Church.
