Rock Hill, SC – Rhoda B. McAteer passed away Monday, January 31, 2023 at Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. McAteer was born on February 9, 1951 to Curtis Marion McAteer and Leatha Allen McAteer and was a lifelong resident of Rock Hill. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Robert L. McAteer and Philip R. McAteer. She was employed at Southern Manufacturing and finished her working career with the Rock Hill School System.
Mrs. McAteer is survived by three sisters, Barbara Long of Lancaster, Ruth Lockridge of Myrtle Beach, and Becky Rabon of Rock Hill; two brothers, Dan McAteer of Kershaw and David McAteer of Rock Hill; many nieces and nephews who fondly called her “Aunt Ro”, and sometimes “Aunt Lovely”.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. Burial will be private.
