Rock Hill, SC – Richard Brian Robbs, 52, formerly of Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 10, 2023.
Born in Shelby, NC, Brian lived in Gaffney until the age of eleven and then relocated to Rock Hill which became his home. He graduated from Northwestern High School and attended York Technical College. He was employed by A+ Medical Company.
Brian was baptized at Grassy Pond Church in Gaffney in 1982. He attended Elevation Church in Rock Hill and was baptized later in life to recommit his life to Christ.
Brian was the husband of Kelly Carroll Robbs, and the son of Martha Davis Vignati of Rock Hill, the late Ritchie Essley Robbs, and step-mother, Sandy Epps Robbs of Gaffney. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Taze and Doris Davis, and Ross and Iris Queen Robbs of Gaffney.
In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by a daughter, Lindsey Jablonski (Jeff), and a son, Michael Griffin (Britney); 7 grandchildren, Jacob and Bella Morrow, Troy, Mason, and Lilah Jablonski, and Abigail and Grace Griffin, all of Rock Hill. The grandchildren knew they were loved by Papa and each was special to him, as were his 2 children.
One of his favorite things to do was to watch any kind of sports with his son, which involved playful rivalry. He loved his Clemson Tigers, Panthers, UFC and NASCAR, which included all series.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 26 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family has requested that anyone who would like to share a personal story of Brian will have the opportunity to do so at the service. A visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
