Rock Hill, SC- Richard Holland Gaffney (Rick) age 70, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on January 8, 2024. He is survived by his spouse, Bea Gaffney; his children Jamie Lee Gaffney (Trish) and Valentina (Tina) Mashell Gaffney. He is also survived by two brothers; Ed Gaffney (Brenda), Butch Gaffney (Debby) and sister Sue Jackson. He had many hobbies, he loved working and detailing his flowers outdoors and enjoyed his yard work and gardening. He placed a lot of interest in his carpentry. But for most, he loved spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his Father Tom Gaffney; Mother, Elsie Elkins and his grandson Lil Richard Gaffney. He is also survived by his grand-children Lacey Whelchel, Samantha Lockhart, Brian Lockhart, Valerie Gaffney, Dayna Gaffney and Hunter Gaffney. As well as one, very much-loved great grandchild Layson Wurdemann.
All services will be private. Family and friends are welcome at the home of Bea Gaffney on a later date.
He is the #1 Paw Paw who loved his family, children and grandchildren very much. He will be forever missed by all.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for all donations or memorials be sent to St. Jude.
