Richard L. Jones, 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Born on August 27, 1950, Rick was the son of the late Howard and Louise Jones. He was raised in the countryside, which gave him a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the rural lifestyle. He attended Rock Hill High School, served in the National Guard, and was drawn to pursue his passion for carpentry at an early age. Rick’s love for craftsmanship and creative work began when he was just 12 years old, working alongside his grandfather. Throughout his life, he used his talents to build across Rock Hill and the surrounding areas, leaving a lasting mark in every home. He also built two beautiful homes for his family, where his influence can be seen and felt in every detail. In his spare time, Rick especially enjoyed being with his family and working in his shop. He will be dearly missed.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol P. Jones; his children, Joseph Jones, Kevin Jones (Dr. Karen Stock), and Megan Jones; and his many other beloved family members and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Adnah Church, 1 Adnah Dr, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive visitors at the church before the service, beginning at 1:00 PM.
