Clover, SC – Ricky Wayne McKellar, 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Ricky was born on January 29, 1954, in Rock Hill, SC, to the late James and Martha McKellar. As a quiet simple man, he married his wife, Debra, and raised his family in Fort Mill. He retired to Clover, SC in 2017 and had many passions. Among those passions were gardening, watching TV, and specifically, watching wrestling. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and had an affection for mountains, wolves, and especially his three cats; Fluffy, Tigger, and Gismo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Debra C. McKellar; his children, Stephanie McKellar Davis (Ricky) of Grover, NC, Heather McKellar DeTrizio (Frank) of Concord, NC, Ricky Wayne McKellar II, of Clover, SC, and Nicholas Cody McKellar, of Clover, SC; his brother, Ronnie McKellar (Angie) of McBee, SC; and his sister, Diane McKellar Jones, of Clover, SC; and his two grandchildren, Noel Davis and Sophia DeTrizio.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Floyd McKellar Sr. and Martha Eunice Pettus McKellar; and his brother, Jimmy McKellar.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00PM on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.
