Clover, SC – Mr. Robert E. Lee Howard, Sr., 75, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at his home.
Mr. Howard was born in Slater, SC, and was the son of the late George D Howard and the late Ellen Pruitt Howard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Brackett Howard. He was retired from Duke Energy with 40 plus years of service. He enjoyed fishing, camping, all outdoors, watching westerns on tv, family and his dog.
Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, with Reverend Bryon Scherer officiating. A private family burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Howard is survived by his two sons, Robert E. Lee (Dixie) Howard Jr. of Hartsville, SC, and David (Chera) Howard of Simpsonville, SC; his four daughters, Barbara Fitts of Clover, SC, Melissa (Thomas) Wallace of York, SC, Melinda (Richard) Hall of Clover, SC, and Candita Sexton of Hartsville, SC; his two sisters, Mollie Howard of Newport, TN and Marsha Howard of Lincolnton, NC; his fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
