Rock Hill, SC – Robert Eugene Jones, 93, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at his home.
Robert Eugene Jones was born on November 13, 1929, to the late James Wilrich Jones, Sr. and Emma Julia Marvin Jones, in Aynor, SC. He worked primarily as a minister serving the Grace Church of the Nazarene and later worked for the City of Rock Hill.
He is survived his wife of 72 years, Nadine K. Jones; his son, Robert Eugene “Gene” Jones (Sheryl McKenzie-Jones); his sister, Sarah Catherine Smith; his grandchildren, Erica-Lynn Murdock, Adrian Jean Jones, and Trenton McKenzie Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, James and Emma Jones.
A funeral service will be held for Mr. Jones at 3:00 PM on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 1029 Mt Gallant Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00PM.
