Robert Fox, 96, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 13th. He was born May 9, 1927 in Montgomery, IN and moved to Brooksville, FL in 1983 from Loogootee, IN. He was a member of the Loogootee Christian Church, the White River Masonic Lodge, and the Hadi Shrine Temple. Bob was an avid golfer. He retired from the Naval Support Activity Crane near Bloomington IN and went on to establish the Fox Insurance Agency in Loogootee which he ran for many years. Bob served in the Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jean, and his second wife of 9 years, Bettie, his parents, Edward and Janice Fox, two sisters, two brothers, an infant son, Gary, and his son, Robert Douglas.
Bob is survived by his son Roger (Susan) of Rock Hill, SC, two grandsons, Jeff Fox (Lauren) and Nick Fox (Ashley) of Charlotte, NC, three great-grandchildren, Brodie, Natalie, and Parker Fox all of Charlotte NC, his brother, Edward of Plainville, IN, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his son, Dennis Evans (Diane) of Montgomery IN a granddaughter, Dawn Niehaus, a grandson, Timothy Evans, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Plainville Cemetery, Plainville IN.
