Robert Harry Flint, Jr, Bob, came into the world on November 8, 1960, a big, bouncing baby, almost 10 lbs, and full of energy. He was a sweet boy with dark hair and eyes, and grew into a tall, handsome young man. Bob loved his family and his friends.  His favorite things were matchbox cars, his minibike, and his dogs. He attended Bible school and summer camp. He was generous, smart, and loved to laugh. Bob was a big fan of water- oceans, lakes, rivers- he wanted to be in or near it. He had a nice voice and as a child of the 60s and 70s, preferred rock and pop music. Football was a favorite and he pulled for Clemson, the Cowboys, and the Dolphins. Bob married and was settling in at age 22 when tragedy struck. He was a passenger in a car accident that left him with a severe traumatic brain injury. He was in a coma for 6 weeks. Although the doctors were not sure he would survive or ever walk and talk again, Bob was a fighter and he showed everyone what it means to be a survivor. He was in rehabilitation for years, and moved to supervised living. For the last 9 years, he has lived at Pruitt nursing home. He was fond of the staff and residents. They sometimes joked that Bob was Pruitt’s mayor, because he would greet everyone and made an effort to reach out to others. He committed his heart to another resident, and was dutiful to her, his sweetheart. Even though every day presented multiple challenges, Bob was always happy to greet visitors and would stop whatever he was doing to offer a hug and kiss.
