Rock Hill, SC – Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Tritt, 83, went to his heavenly home at Piedmont Medical Center on March 20, surrounded by his loving family.
A visitation will be held Monday, March 23rd at Tirzah ARP in the Family Life Center from 5:00 until everyone has had a chance to speak to the family. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 24th at 2:00 PM at Tirzah ARP with the Reverend Andrew Putnam officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ronnie was born January 25, 1943, to Lander Eugene Tritt and Elsie Virginia (Cabaniss) Tritt in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was the third of six children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son: Ronald E: Tritt, Jr., his sisters; Maraline T Clark, Patricia Ladrie and his brother Jerry W Tritt.
Ronnie retired from Atlas marketing and enjoyed being an attendant at the York County convenience center for 17 years. He enjoyed visiting with everyone who came by.
Ronnie never met a stranger and had a smile that welcomed conversation.
Ronnie was a member of Ebenezer ARP growing up and later became a lifelong member of Tirzah ARP with his family. In years past, he was Superintendent of Sunday school, a Boy Scout leader, a softball coach, an elder and a deacon. He was also a Gideon, and he was at present; the vice president of the Men’s club.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Bonnie Wray Tritt and his son, William Clay Tritt (Gretchen); and his grandsons Lander Eugene Tritt and Easton Clay Tritt. Also left to remember him are his sisters Judy Joplin and Kathy Holton, his nieces and nephews and his step grandchildren: Lauren, Logan, Natalie and Gracie. His memories, stories and love will continue through all those he left behind.
