Rock Hill, SC – Roy Strait Varnadore, born June 24, 1937, entered the gates of Heaven on May 15, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James David Varnadore and Viola Elizabeth Black Varnadore, as well as his brothers, James, Bobby, Donnie and Chick.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bunny Scott Varnadore; his sons, Steven (Shannon) and Ryan (Leann); his grandchildren, Christian (Zharia), Kaelyn (Eli), Hannah (Buck), and Lilly; and his great-grandchildren, CJ and Tres.
Born in York County, Roy served his country in the United States Navy and was proud to be a Navy Veteran. He spent many years working for Community Cash, where he became well known and loved by the many customers he served over the years.
Roy was a devoted Gamecock and NASCAR fan who enjoyed attending games and races. In his earlier years, he also loved playing golf.

Roy’s family would like to give a big thank you to his Agape Hospice care team, Tedra and Heather, and also his VA caregiver, Tonja.
Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at the home. A private Memorial Service will take place in June.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
