Rock Hill – Mrs. Ruth M. Sherer, 95, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Agape Hospice House of Lexington, S.C.
Born in Smyra, S.C., Mrs. Sherer was the daughter of the late Blakely Moss and the late Viola Caldwell Moss. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Haskell Moss; and her sisters, Mary Long, Ella Gee, Cora Campbell and Lovine Moss. She worked at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home for 32 years as an office manager. She enjoyed sewing for her family; and creating things to make others smile. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church. She loved her lord.
Mrs. Sherer is survived by her two daughters, Carol Leopold (Joe) from Charleston, S.C. and Kaye Blanchard (Zale) of Rock Hill, S.C.; her sisters Naomi Satterfield, Jewel Moss, Jackie Bagley and one brother, Jerry Moss; three grandsons, Shawn, Wes, and Bart and four great grandchildren Aspen, Braxton, Beau, and Bella.
