Kingsport, TN – Cameron Samuel “Sam” Chappell, formerly of McConnells, SC, passed away unexpectedly January 11th at his home in Kingsport, TN.
Sam was the son of Janie Cameron Chappell and the late William “Bill” Porter Chappell, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Gardner Chappell.
Sam attended York County schools and was a Heavy Crane Operator across the United States. He found great joy exploring the world on his motorcycle.
Sam is survived by his siblings, Shanna Faye Matthews, Emily Root (Jericho), Brandon Chappell, Victoria Durham (John), William Chappell (Lanny), Mark Chappell (Susan), Debra Bell (Mitch), and Vivian James; two uncles, two aunts, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 12:00 pm in Chester Memorial Gardens, 945 West End Road, Chester, SC 29706. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of his sister, Shanna Faye Matthews, 5072 Strait Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
