Rock Hill, SC – Sandra Kay Shehane Beckham passed away peacefully during the night on February 27, 2026.

Born on November 16, 1942, in Lancaster, Sandra was the youngest of six children born to William Coy Shehane and Leila Baker Shehane. Growing up in a lively household of three brothers and two sisters, she carried the warmth of family with her throughout her life. She graduated from Buford High School in 1960.

Sandra built a strong work ethic over the years, holding positions at the cloth room of the Lancaster Plant of Springs Industries, J.F. Mackey Drugs, and at Barr Street Junior High School, where she served as a special education teaching assistant. She later worked for many years in the packing department at Scott Aviation in Monroe before retiring.

Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary M. “Nader” Beckham, a U.S. Army veteran and career pipe fitter, who passed away on November 11, 2010.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her children, Jody Lynn Adams (Christine), Greg Adams (Sherry), Michael Dean Beckham (Cathy), and Michele Dorsik (Jeff); her grandchildren, Brittany Adams (Zack Angel), Sarah Rome, Cody Adams, Scott Adams, Lauren Adams (Alan Soto), Savannah Beckham, Sierra Beckham, Shyanne Beckham, Kirstie Green (Robert), and Chloe Cornett; and many great grandchildren, extended family members and friends.

In 2015, Sandra moved to Rock Hill, where she became a faithful member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She found joy in simple pleasures — sharing meals with family, taking weekday day trips, and spending treasured time with her grandchildren.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Agape Hospice for the compassionate care provided during the final year of Sandra’s life as she bravely managed kidney disease.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at 1:00 p.m., at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with visitation to follow in the church social hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2115 Celanese Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
