Fort Mill, SC – AlexSandra Carmichael “Shan” Nasser, 76, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at her home.
Born in Anderson, SC, Shan was the daughter of the late Alec Carmichael and the late Wilma Nail Carmichael. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Nasser. Shan graduated from Clemson University and earned several degrees in Textiles and advanced Chemistry. She was Textile Chemist with American Enka and then with Henkel in Mauldin, SC. She loved orchids and with her husband, Tom, ran a business together, Carolina Orchids in Fort Mill. In her free time, she enjoyed reading.
Surviving are her daughter, Shana Marie Salas of Fort Mill, SC; her three grandchildren, Jordan, Nicholas, and Jensen, who is expecting a baby, Shan’s first great-granddaughter.
