Rock Hill -Shirley Williams Carroll, age 86, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away on January 8th, 2025, after an extended illness.
Born in Dearborn, MI, Ms. Carroll worked as a secretary including the office of the School of Music at Winthrop University. Her favorite interests were singing in the church choir, needlework, quilting, cross stitching and sewing. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Russell Dean Carroll, Kenneth Williams Carroll, her daughter -in -law, Susan Carroll, her brother, Harold Williams and sister, Irene Williams. She is survived by her son, Robert Harlan Carroll and his wife, Leslie McKee Carroll, grandchildren, Tiffany Crowley (Billy), Christine Carroll, and Jonathan Carroll, as well as six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Eleanor (Ellie) LaRoy of Colorado Springs, CO.
Shirley was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill and requested no memorial service.
