Rock Hill, SC – Mr. Stanford Lavon Stroud, 79, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park-Cherry Road. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1:00-1:45 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Stroud was born in Mullins, SC and was the son of the late Willie McCoy Stroud and the late Dora Pridgen Stroud. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. Mr. Stroud loved to farm, drive his tractor and enjoyed cutting grass.
Mr. Stroud is survived by his brother, Austin Stroud of China Grove, SC; his sisters, Louise S. Turbeville of Rock Hill; Elouise S. Whitener of Hickory, NC and Colleen S. Griffin of Rock Hill; his nieces, Becky Faulkenberry (Eric); Mandy Stroud; Holly Crenshaw (Wayne) and Janine Stroud all of Rock Hill; and Debbie Stroud (Barron) of Hickory, NC; his nephews, Danny Griffin (Tracey) of Rock Hill; Dwayne Griffin of Columbia, SC; and Roy Stroud of Rock Hill. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Elbert Stroud and Daustin Stroud and his sister, Viola S. Jernigan.
