Stanley Dean Robinson passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2026, in Rock Hill, SC.
He was born on October 11, 1951 to William Marvin Robinson and Edna Privette Robinson. He was raised in Rock Hill and graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1969. He also graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University.
Stanley served in the U.S. Air Force in Montana, Italy, and California. He was a computer programmer and analyst in the banking and healthcare industries.
He was fun-loving and enjoyed playing tennis, golf and riding horses. He especially cherished the time he spent with his family. Whether at the beach or hanging out with his grandsons, he loved making memories with them and sharing his crazy stories. Their time together was always filled with laughter. He will be remembered with great love and will be missed more than words can express.
He is survived by his mother and his brother, William Marvin Robinson Jr., daughter Kristen Robinson Eagerton (Jon), and grandsons Trent Jonathan Eagerton and Chad Stanley Eagerton.
He was predeceased by his father and a brother, Larry Vanburen Robinson.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Grandview Memorial Cemetery, Rock Hill, SC
