Stanley W. Merritt Jr., of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away on April 25, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born on November 28, 1948 in Rock Hill, SC, to the late Stanley W. Merritt Sr. and Frances L. Conrad Merritt.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Merritt.
Stanley is survived by his son, Brandon Merritt (Madison); his daughter, Crystal Merritt (Ben); his grandchildren, Piper, Skylar, Brandon, and Iris; his nephew, Brian Dease; his sister-in-law, Gloria Weaver; his brothers-in-law, Johnny Stone and Ken Stone; and his sister-in-law, Brenda Stone; and his cousin; Ray Conrad (Trina).
Stanley was a huge Gamecocks and Redskins fan. He was a hard worker who loved to fish. He was a kind man who loved his family dearly.
He worked for many years in the textile industry as a shift supervisor and later served as a security guard.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
