Steve William Alexander, 75, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Steve William Alexander was born on October 10, 1950, to the late Everett Alexander and Betty Jane Fowler in Gastonia, North Carolina. While Mr. Alexander was born in Gastonia, he grew up and spent much of his early life in McAdenville. He had a strong love for his hometown throughout his entire life. Mr. Alexander proudly served his country in the United States Navy, serving in the Vietnam War. He was very proud of his service and was very patriotic during his entire life. He was awarded National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal for his honorable and faithful service. In his work life, Mr. Alexander worked as an Electrical Maintenance making craftsman tools in the textile industry and Danaher Tool. In his personal life, Mr. Alexander was a family man through and through. He was very protective over his entire family no matter how anyone was related to each other.
Mr. Alexander’s family included his wife, Belinda Dale Outlaw Alexander; his son, Steve William Alexander II (deceased June of 2024), his granddaughter, Kalie Alexander Fey and her husband, Colin Fey, and their child, Lila Fey; his step son, Brian Self and his wife, Michelle Self; his grandsons, Dustin Self and Joshua Self; his brothers, John Alexander and his wife, Vicky Alexander, and George Alexander and his wife, Linda Alexander; his sisters JoReca Caldwell and her husband, Don Caldwell; and many friends.
A graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive Gastonia, NC 28054.
