Suzanne Hayden Winston, 60, passed away on March 18, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center with her family surrounding her. She was born on August 16, 1964, in Miami, FL, to the late Robert Hayden and Shirley Willenborg Hayden.
Sue is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 35 years, David W. Winston; her daughter, Victoria McGowan (Kyle), and son, David J. Winston. Born the youngest of 8 she is survived by Sisters, Pam Starkey (Bill), MaryAnn Jewett (John), Linda Hayden; Brothers, Robert Hayden (Rosa), and Chuck Hayden; Preceded in death by sister Cindy Lichtenberger and brother Kenny Hayden.
Born and raised in Miami, Fl, Sue met her high school love, Dave, her sophomore year of high school. Married in 1989, they moved to Mystic, Ct where they both worked at Electric Boat. Victoria was born in 1994 and the family moved to Rock Hill in 1996 to pursue Dave’s dream of working in NASCAR. Their son David was born in 1998, and Sue’s family was complete. She dedicated her life to raising her two wonderful children and passionately rooting for the race teams Dave worked for. Later in life, Sue enjoyed “cheering” for the Atlanta Braves and having coffee dates with friends. Traveling with her family and being behind the camera to capture every special moment was her biggest joy. Her yellow lab, Cooper will deeply miss her as they were a bonded pair.

A funeral service will be held 6:30 pm, Monday, March 24, 2025 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Reverend Angela Pleasants officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
