Terrina Angelina Balzano Allen, age 84, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family.
Terrina was born in Miami, Florida, on November 5, 1941, the eldest child and daughter of the late Anthony “Tony” Raymond Balzano and Nina Mae Wells Balzano of John’s Island, South Carolina.
She was married to Gail M. Allen for 49 years, until his passing in 2023.
Terrina is survived by her younger brother, Raymond “Bumpsie” C. Balzano of John’s Island, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her sister, Antoinette “Toni” Louise Balzano Kirby in 2024.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Terrina Hayden, Marlon Allen, Dr. Kenneth Allen, Ph.D., P.E., and Robert L. Grimball Jr., who passed away in 2025.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Chelsae Hayden, Natasha Hayden Capaldi, Brandon Allen, Zackery Allen, and Nickolas Allen. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Dustin Allen (2023).
Terrina was blessed with six great-grandchildren: Isabella Capaldi, Gabriella Capaldi, Rylie Allen, Josilyn Allen, Alyssa Allen, and Adlee Belle Allen.
Terrina and Gail greatly enjoyed spending time in the mountains, where they found joy and rest away from everyday life. In lieu of a formal ceremony, the family will hold a private service in the mountains, a place they dearly loved.
The family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with her husband and loved ones who have gone before her.
