Rock Hill, SC – Thomas L. Taylor, a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He was born on March 27, 1940, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Cecil J. Taylor, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication that would define his life.

Tom, as he was affectionately known, proudly served his country in the United States Navy. His military service shaped his character and fostered a deep sense of duty that he carried throughout his life. After his time in the Navy, he found his calling as a District Retail Manager, where he dedicated many years to building relationships and leading teams with his characteristic kindness and commitment.

A devoted family man, Thomas is survived by his siblings, David Taylor, Darrell Taylor, Anna Mae Jason Saathoff, and Phillis Santtago. He was the loving father of seven children: Vickie Duncan, Ronald Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Thomas L. Taylor, Cherie Dean, Pamela Moore, and Patricia Edens. He took immense pride in his large and growing family, which included 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him boundless joy and laughter.

Tom had a zest for life that was evident in his many hobbies and interests. He had a profound love for his mother’s cornbread, often reminiscing about family meals that filled the house with warmth and love. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether fishing or hunting, and had a playful spirit that endeared him to his grandchildren, for whom he loved to tease and play. His ability to connect with the younger generation was a testament to the warmth and love he had in his heart.

The family will gather to celebrate Thomas’s remarkable life on May 25, 2025, at Greene Funeral Home, with the service scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring a man who touched the lives of so many.
